I’m Sammy Azúa (she/her), a recent Magna Cum Laude graduate of Elon University with a  BFA in Music Theatre; beyond the stage I minored in psychology and had the privilege of serving as the Executive Vice President of the student body.

I am a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, and everything I do—onstage and off—is rooted in gratitude, heart, and honoring the sacrifices my family made to give me this life.

At my core, I’m an actor first; I’m deeply drawn to truthful storytelling. I love characters that honor my identity and my family, but I’m equally at home in brassy, sassy, comedic roles with bite and confidence.

When you send me in, you’re getting an actor who makes bold, instinctive choices, brings humor in service of the character, and thrives in collaboration. I’m fearless in the room, deeply prepared, and responsive to direction.
